In a BNI chapter, every seat belongs to one profession. At BNI A1 Networkers, the electrician seat belongs to My AZ Electrician LLC, owned and represented in our chapter by Michael Rogoz.

A family-owned Peoria contractor

My AZ Electrician is a family-owned electrical contractor based right here in Peoria. The company is licensed, bonded and insured, and serves Peoria and the surrounding Phoenix metro area. Mike founded the business, and the team brings more than 80 years of combined experience in the electrical trade. Work is done by journeyman-level technicians and follows local and national electrical codes.

That combination matters. Electrical work is one of those things you do not want to hand to just anyone, and it is reassuring to know the person you are referring is local, licensed and accountable.

What they do

My AZ Electrician handles everything from a single outlet to a full commercial service. Their work includes:

  • Residential electrical repairs, from GFCI outlets to fixtures that will not stay on
  • Lighting and fixture installation for homes and businesses
  • Electrical panel upgrades for older homes or homes adding new equipment
  • Routine electrical inspections
  • Commercial and industrial electrical work, up to 3-phase commercial service
  • 24-hour emergency electrical service when something cannot wait

They work with homeowners, business owners and property managers who look after multiple units.

Why early summer is a good time to think about your electrical system

June in the West Valley means the AC is running nearly around the clock. Pool pumps, ceiling fans and second refrigerators in the garage all add to the load. For a lot of homes, especially older ones, this is the time of year when small electrical problems start to show up.

A few signs worth paying attention to as the heat builds:

  • Breakers that trip when the AC kicks on
  • Lights that dim or flicker when a large appliance starts
  • Outlets or switch plates that feel warm to the touch
  • A buzzing or burning smell near the panel

Monsoon season is also just around the corner. Storms bring wind, lightning and power outages, and it is a lot easier to have an electrician look at your panel or wiring now than during a stormy week in July. If you have been putting off that panel upgrade, a new circuit for an EV charger or extra outdoor lighting, early summer is a good window to get it scheduled.

How you can refer My AZ Electrician

Electrical needs come up in conversation more often than you might think. A great referral for Mike is:

  • A homeowner with an older house who mentions breakers tripping or flickering lights
  • Someone planning a remodel, kitchen update or room addition
  • A homeowner adding big equipment, like a pool pump, spa or EV charger
  • A business owner opening, moving or expanding a commercial space
  • A property manager who needs a dependable electrician for multiple units
  • Anyone who just had an inspection flag electrical issues during a home sale

Real estate agents, general contractors, HVAC companies, remodelers and property managers are natural partners, because their clients often need an electrician at exactly the same time they need them.
